ABOUT US
DENCRAW was formed as a result of the three Directors recognising a need for a company which has the diverse strengths needed to broker complex PPP's between New Zealand Central, Regional and Local Government and overseas financiers on major infrastructural projects.
Dencraw's role extends to much more than just brokering such deals and includes retaining an active oversight of the projects on behalf of the investors to avoid any potential problems.
The Directors bring a strong track record in business, construction, the law and governance and are fully conversant with New Zealand conditions.
Whilst working for the overseas investors, the Directors can ably scope out any project in conjunction with the New Zealand organisation behind it and work with that organisation to evaluate the project and act as an independent assessor of the projects feasibility and also identify any potential areas of concern.
It is not Dencraw's role, nor aim, to tell the relevant Government entity how to conduct or manage the project but to fill the role of an external filter acting as much in the entity’s interests as the investors.
The driving philosophy behind Dencraw's approach is to bring the parties together in the first place and, by being actively involved on the ground in New Zealand, to deliver a successful project that meets the needs of both parties.
The diverse experience of its' three Directors means that there are virtually no projects which they would not consider as being beyond their skill sets to successfully deliver. The confidence in that ability to deliver comes from decades of doing just that and having extensive support networks throughout New Zealand that can be called upon whatever the size or nature of the project.
We welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs and requirements with you at any time.

Denis has had a successful and varied career spanning both the Public and Private sectors for over forty years.
His Public Sector career ended in 1992 after two years as Manager of Property & Legal Services with the newly formed Tauranga District Council. During his two years there, he was responsible for rationalising the Property Portfolio which was a combination of the assets of the previous two Councils prior to them being amalgamated in 1989.
Highlights included;
-
Successfully selling surplus assets, but usually with the ancillary aim of securing appropriate development on such sites
-
Marketing of a significant residential subdivision on Council's behalf
-
Leasing of surplus properties
-
Completing a comprehensive review of the Council's Leasehold Portfolio
From there, Denis started up his own professional property management company, Property Managers Limited, specialising in the Management of Commercial & Industrial Property,
In 1995 he syndicated his first Commercial Property in Tauranga (which is still performing well today) and was therefore one of the pioneers of the Syndication industry in New Zealand.
Over the years, the Company grew and expanded into the Waikato and Auckland. By 2013 and following on from the aftermath of the GFC, Denis correctly identified the need for a new approach and set up Pacific Property Fund which started off with the acquisition of a $12m industrial property at Mount Maunganui and today has over $100m in assets and is growing every year.
Denis was also responsible for establishing a Direct Office Fund as well as a Childcare Centre Fund, both of which are growing successfully.
The business, which he started in 1992 and which he is still a Director of now, operates as a Licensed Funds Manager under the Financial Markets Authority and, in 2017, after 25 years in business, won the Westpac Bay of Plenty Business Award for Innovation.
In his spare time, Denis takes on Development projects for himself and successfully completed his latest industrial one last year in Tauranga.
Denis is also a member of the Property Institute of New Zealand and is a former chairman of the Property Council, Bay of Plenty Branch (1996 – 2000).
